Metamask® Extension® | How to Install Metamask

Once the installation is complete, the MetaMask extension will be added to your browser. You should see the MetaMask fox icon in the top right corner of your browser window.

Installing MetaMask is quite straightforward. Here's a step-by-step guide:

1. Open Your Browser: Open your web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Brave, or Edge) on your computer.

2. Visit the MetaMask Website: Type "metamask.io" into the address bar and press Enter.

3. Download MetaMask: On the MetaMask website, you'll see options to download MetaMask for different browsers. Choose the version that matches your browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Brave, or Edge). Click on the "Download" button corresponding to your browser.

4. Install MetaMask Extension: After downloading, your browser will typically prompt you to install the MetaMask extension. Follow the prompts to install it. If not, you can usually find the downloaded file in your computer's Downloads folder and double-click it to start the installation process.

5. Add MetaMask to Your Browser: Once the installation is complete, the MetaMask extension will be added to your browser. You should see the MetaMask fox icon in the top right corner of your browser window.

6. Set Up Your MetaMask Wallet: Click on the MetaMask fox icon to open the extension. Follow the instructions to set up your MetaMask wallet. This usually involves creating a new wallet, setting a password, and backing up your secret backup phrase (also known as seed phrase). Make sure to keep your seed phrase safe and never share it with anyone.

7. Explore and Use MetaMask: Once your wallet is set up, you can start using MetaMask to manage your Ethereum and ERC-20 tokens, interact with decentralized applications (DApps), and more.
